Rules Modernisation Project – 1 January 2019

With the new rules just around the corner golf clubs should now be thinking about their local rules and new definitions of penalty areas as well as whether or not they want to introduce the new stroke and distance local rule.

Over the last couple of weeks you will have been receiving updated information from New Zealand Golf and in the mail are some posters outlining the major changes to the rules.
Our website now has a new section “New Rules 2019” which has a series of short videos which explain the major changes really nicely.

The following useful information has been sent to clubs and is available on our website.

  • Rules Poster (an infographic rules poster – please note this poster is being posted to all golf clubs in A3)
  • 20 must know rule changes for 2019
  • Get Ready for Golf Clubs and Committees – New Rules 2019
  • 2019 New Rules – Local Rules for Golf Clubs and Committees

If you have any questions or issues on the 2019 rules then please contact Dave Mangan in our office
